To bring it onto the Convention floor, you'll need to devise a way of keeping it secured to your person, via a zip-tie or such. A sheath is the best way, but if you don't have a formal one, you'll need to get one or craft one.
Our Safety Volunteers can help you zip-tie it when you arrive.
